Is there a person alive today that you have not forgiven yet? And why?

Really just myself. There have been some real shits in my life, but whatever they did to me, however much it hurt, I let it happen and I chose to react as badly as I did. My whole life could be completely different, if I had continued to follow my dreams, instead of making such rash decisions based on current emotion. Not sure I'm ready to forgive myself for any of that.

I honestly am tired of hearing about Medicare/Social security issues. It's not that I don't think their important, my mom relies on that money due to being disabled, but I hear so much of it, I don't want to hear anymore right now.

I don't even know what any of the issues are, really. Except, yanno, the big three: Abortion, Religion and Hating Obama.

I get tired of mud being slung around. I get tired of hearing about the politicians' personal lives, their religions, their finances. Gods almighty, I wish Mitt Romney would quit trying to be like poverty-level Joe Normal. Yay, he's rich, he can pay for his own campaign, why do I care? I'd rather have a successful business guy in charge than a poor schmo who keeps making bad financial decisions. You know why my dad died broke? He was addicted to scratch-off tickets and lottery. You know why my sisters' dad died broke? He was a boozer who liked cheap-but-expensive women. Do I want either guy running the country? Hell no. They couldn't make wise enough decisions to support a family - and neither can most of us broke-ass schmos out there. I make decent money AND have good health care, why am I always in debt? Because no one taught me how to manage my shit, that's why. If my own finances are this bad, whaddaya think America would look like in 4 years?

(Dude, I need to step away from the computer, I just read a bunch of Cracked articles and now I could be one of their writers, ouch)

I wish they'd stop using religion as a means to get themselves more popular. Why? Because I know they are full of it. They are hypocrites who fear losing power/money more than they fear god.

Seriously, I would love to find a male babysitter for the kids--hello, male role model! I'm pretty picky on babysitters anyhoo, so reference, etc all being the same, no worse than a female babysitter.

I suppose I would try to feel equally about them. But that would be a difficult one for me. Though I do feel kind of odd thinking about it, I hate to be prejudice about anything and when I realize I am I try to fight it off.

Maybe I'm biased because I don't own kids, but I don't see the difference. What does it matter if your babysitter is male or female?

Why does it bother people? That's like being bothered by whether your babysitter is single or taken, gay or straight, etc. What difference does it make?

I think it's a great idea, personally. Might encourage a few more young guys to use protection and think with their brains first when in the presence of potential baby-creators.

I learned from a hefty dose of babysitting toddlers that I didn't want any, and I shouldn't be left unattended around small children. They're sticky, smelly, whiny and gross - and I react badly to that kind of environmental stress.

Just throwing in a question to add to this thread.

The question is "What ads on the media do you find pandering?"

One reason I ask this is I have seen several ads clearly using Male insecurity to sell booze and one from a casino that uses the line, "are you a rodent hording its nuts,or are you a man,and let the bet ride"(not the actual line) or the one that says "real men drink REAL Tequila,and it seems to equate drinking with the notion of being a REAl man.

Ah, couldn't agree more! Anything that reduces the amount of kids being born gets my vote! I also plan on remaining a kid-free zone! I have enough stretch marks on my hips and thighs. If I got them on my stomach, I'd have to change my name to zebra girl.

The only babysitters I'm interested in are close family - both because I'm sensitive to who I trust to watch my kids and also because I wouldn't leave them with someone they didn't know very well and who knew them as well, well enough to know what they want and need without having to write up a study sheet on it.

That being said, their sex or gender isn't important to me.
