This sounds interesting to me. What do you mean by "Aha" moments?

A very useful thing, it is. I have already managed to use some of its principles. Perhaps writing them down and making my own notes (in a separate paper and adding it to the book) will help me to understand more?
Hmmm. Perhaps not read by Putin ....

I'm now reading Subjects of the Sultan: Culture and Daily Life in the Ottoman Empire by Suraya Faroqhi. When I finish it I'm gonna start reading another Ottoman history book, and then I'll buy something else, I'm not entirelly decided what, yet. Probably something Le Goff.

I picked up 1984 again and I'm having much greater appreciation for it now.

Meaning, I could relate to a lot of what they were talking about from my own childhood. I often felt a connection to something otherworldly as a kid, a not quite imaginary friend, so to speak. I wasn't really looking for a book about childhood experiences, though.

I'm reading Adam Bede by George Eliot. I'm actually considering reading all of her novels in order (with, possibly, some other books in between for variety).

                      SPOILER ALERT

It's so weird to be reading a book that's only as old as 1859 in which people are scandalized by having a female preacher visit their village for a sermon. I find myself thinking that we haven't come far enough more often than I find myself thinking how far we've come, I must say.

                            Just read:
                            -Only Human by Gareth Roberts
                            -Erasing Sherlock by Kelly Hale
