Yeah I almost teared up watching that.

I strangely want to adopt a puppy now.

Puppies go fast - everybody wants a puppy. Get an older dog. They tend to languish in rescue centers.

That's how we got Remmi, the latest addition to our family. He's eight, and very, very happy these days.

My daughter just adopted a dachshund from a rescue. She was rescued from a puppy-mill. She's (I think) five, and had already had eight litters.
Every moment of a life is a horrible tragedy, a slapstick comedy, dark nihilism, golden illumination, or nothing at all; depending on how we write the story we tell ourselves.

... People suck. No really, what is wrong with people? Eight litters at 5 years old? Yeesh.

                      Ouch, my feels...

These stories always get me crying. Not that it's hard to make me cry.

Agreed. It's easy money though. You hear it a lot around here. People breeding their staffies so they can sell the pups on council estates. Having worked in an animal shelter, I've seen the consequences. In fact, staffies in particular have such a bad deal around here, whether it's being bite trained by handlers that don't know what they're doing, being used as puppy machines, or just generally neglected.. never getting out for walks, being punched and kicked for crying when they're hungry. I honestly wish they'd enforce tighter laws on ownership of such breeds, for their own sake. So that it's easier to confiscate them from idiots who don't deserve to own them.

Genuinely curious to know the outcome of this.

He was due back 4 hours ago. Still haven't seen him. I want a recording of his next meeting with the general manager.

Day 3 of our 4 day memorial sale. I witnessed such ridiculous behavior by customers that I have been laughing like a crazy person all day. I think I'm beyond the "wtf" stage and now it's all just funny. Just one more day to go... I really wish I had wine and pie. But cookies, tea, and fable will have to do for tonight.

I feel you. We had this coupon for Memorial Day. Pretty much the same coupons we do on any day. Just with MEMORIAL DAY written on them. I witnessed so many 40 year old tantrums. It was quite embarrassing. Some dude was like I don't want to wait in line! He then throws a measuring tape at me and says he will be back. He doesn't want to be in line with stupid people. And then says he's going to Starbucks (which is in our parking lot and I can see out into their store).
                                Guess what I see?
                                A very long line.

I had so many people come up and just not have their shit together. Asking me all kinds of dumb questions. And I'm like
