I have a horrible sense of direction, which means I often get lost. It's particularly embarrassing when someone is giving me a ride and I have to guide them to where I'm going.

Also, I'm a tad socially awkward. I often find myself at a loss for words.

Normally, the answer is, "I don't GET embarrassed." But the truth is, actually compliments. I really don't handle compliments well.

Like Chain, I have a hard time taking compliments...not sure if "embarrassed" is the right word, but it makes me feel pretty uncomfortable.

Having to use a cane when I walk, though you might ask why,it just is. My friend who uses an electric scooter chair says he felt very uncomfortable at first. He thought everyone was looking at him. It is just human to feel like this I suppose.

I get embarrassed, but not always about the same thing. I suppose it is situational embarrassment, though as often as not my foot is firmly in my mouth when I experience it.

                  That I love science.

I've 'grown up' but have always been passionately curious.

Pretty much everything. I went through a phase where I didn't believe in Santa, the Easter Bunny, or the Tooth Fairy, but parenthood showed me that they are indeed real.... in fact I am them. :-D

The idea that most people are inherently "good". I'm not sure why I still believe it, considering the evidence, but there you have it.

There are scary things in dark places.
Every moment of a life is a horrible tragedy, a slapstick comedy, dark nihilism, golden illumination, or nothing at all; depending on how we write the story we tell ourselves.

That the world is an endless source of wonderment, mostly good, where beauty can be found in the most humble of places...provided you look closely enough.

Obviously, I wouldn't have stated it that way though.

I always believed that there is only good and bad. That there is nothing in the middle. I still consider it to be true these days.

Families suck. Not all, but most. This perspective comes mostly from my own life and those of people I've been close with. Obviously there are mass exceptions that I don't know about.
