I was originally off work next Saturday, but someone needed a day shift covered and I offered to do it. What I didn't know at that time, is that the new series of Dr. Who starts that day. I was disappointed, but it couldn't be helped. However, I came to work tonight, and found out that my manager forgot to cover the night shift on Friday night. There are only two night staff and the other lady can't do it. So I now have no choice but to work Friday night and have the day off on Saturday. I feel terrible for my colleague, but now I get to see Dr. Who. I hear a lot of complaints about it, but as someone who actually does stuff, it's been soooo helpful. I use so many recipes, and tips to organise my house better, and craft ideas! I pin stuff I find and do as well!Originally posted by perzephone View PostComment

Really enjoyed the paralympics opening ceremony. My teeny kitten watched it purched on the tip of her scratching post (the post is right next to the TV set!). Aww, feel for you V. I once travelled for almost 3 days to get home. Thought I'd be clever and use buses instead of trains and pass through different airports to save cash. Was cheap, but damn, I was exhausted by the time I hit home. When you live on a tiny island like Britain, you tend not to be used to such epic commutes.
