I'm thinking about my commute to work this morning at 6am. Nice barely daybreak. Cold. Calm. Just me on the small streets.
Oh looky. A kitty kat on it's front lawn.

I've been trying to work my way through one of my artsy books for the past 4 hours. It's not a particularly long, or technical book. It's actually a pretty easy and intuitive read with a whole lot of pictures. But after yesterday's CSS cram session... this just isn't working.

I'm really thinking maybe the last of my day would be better spent drinking wine, eating snacks, and playing a really old video game. I just feel so guilty spending my day off not developing skills that may hopefully give me a better foundation for financial stability in the future... and even as I type it, it sounds depressing and much like the road to burnout.

I'm jelly. My father played mariachi songs. He taught my brothers. All 3 of my halves could play.

Tornado watch until 2 a.m. In college, the alarm horn was right outside my door and I slept right through fire drills. Once I'm all the way asleep - that's that. Last week we had some really heavy t-storms that I missed. So I'll just hope nothing bad happens.

I used to be much more brave (translation: stupid) when I was young. I remember driving to Sea Bright NJ during Hurricane Gloria just for the heck of it and seeing the spray coming over the sea wall, and thinking, hmm, I better get outta here. LOL (Sea Bright is a little peninsula community with the ocean on one side and a river on the other. It's at sea level and about the width of 2 football fields. Jam-packed with upscale homes, condos, etc.)

I just finished "the lightning tree" by Patrick Rothfuss. I need hime to write more stuff NOW. It doesn't have to be book 3 of his series. Just something. His writing style is addictive.
